Let's break down what lip blushing actually involves, in plain English, so you know exactly what you'd be signing up for.

What Lip Blushing Actually Is

Lip blushing is a form of cosmetic tattooing. That means a small amount of pigment is deposited into the outer layer of skin on your lips, using a fine tattoo needle. Unlike a normal body tattoo, the pigment sits much more shallowly in the skin, which is why it fades gradually over time rather than staying forever.

The result is a soft wash of colour across your lips, along with a bit more definition around the edges. Think less "drawn on lipstick" and more like your lips, just with a little more warmth and shape, even first thing in the morning with no makeup on.

It's Not The Same As Lip Filler

This one trips people up a lot. Lip blushing and lip filler are completely different things. Filler is an injectable that adds volume, so your lips look physically bigger and plumper. What Actually Happens During The Appointment

That might sound backwards, but numbing cream actually absorbs better into skin that's already been opened, so this makes you more comfortable, not less. From there, I reapply numbing throughout the appointment to keep you comfortable the whole way through.

What To Expect Afterwards

Your lips will look noticeably brighter and darker than your final result for the first few days. That's completely normal and just part of how the pigment settles.
